Opportunity in academia never seems to come in manageable chunks, neatly packaged for consumption on social media, and easily compartmentalised for the sake of work life balance.
This week, I attended the Empathy and Compassion in One Health conference, I was invited to Advocates for Animals’ Scottish Parliament event for the Animal Welfare Act at twenty, I taught on International Animal Welfare Ethics and Law and Clinical Animal Behaviour MScs, attended an amazing Animal Welfare Education Community of Practice event, and I presented our AI and Animal Welfare webinar to 260 people.
While also being a part-time employee and part-time parent.
