Gender in Science

I have a trans inclusive and feminist subsection of research exploring gender, and gender-related issues, such as parenting, in science and education.

I have been enjoying collaborating with colleagues in exploring how gender impacts progression and recognition in the veterinary profession, and I’m very interested in exploring how parenting also impacts this (as a relatively new parent myself!). I have small but growing body of work in this area which you can find out more about here.

To be very clear, my research comes from a feminist and trans inclusive lens. I believe that trans women are women, and that gendered issues can impact men, women, and non-binary folks in many different ways.
